Town goalkeeper coach Jimmy Walker says said Bartosz Bialkowski has come back in great shape ahead of the new season.

The Pole was set to move to Millwall earlier in the summer fell through after a complication in the keepers medical.

“There was a lot of speculation about him in the summer and I wasn’t sure how he would come back when we returned to training but he’s been great,” Walker told iFollow Ipswich.

“He has dealt with everything really well. He’s had a tough year or so. There has been so much going on for him in his head.

“He didn’t reach the standards he set for himself last season and that disappointed him more than anyone else.

“We all know Bart’s qualities and if he can get back to that level that will be fantastic for everyone.

“He has come back in great shape and from a selfish point of view, I’m delighted because with Tomas [Holy] it gives me two fantastic keepers pushing for a first-team place.”
