Town to hold back season ticket details for 20/21

Town are to delay the launch of the season ticket pricing for 2020/21 until key decisions have been made by the football authorities concerning the conclusion of the current season.

The Blues have today announced that the initial scheduled launch for the season ticket campaign for next season which was due this week, is understandably delayed.

“The Club were scheduled to have launched the season ticket campaign for next season this week but with the obvious uncertainty surrounding football at the moment we have delayed things for now,” Club secretary Stuart Hayton told the Club website.

“We will await further guidance from the EFL. At the moment all we know is it’s the intention to complete the fixtures for this season.”

Meanwhile, season ticket holders who had signed up for the current season via direct debit, would have seen the club has taken the April instalments for the season. This is a move following advice from the EFL, even though all football has been postponed since the start of March.

A club spokesperson told EADT: “The directive from the EFL is to carry on as though the season is going to be finished as normal – i.e. games played in front of fans. There are also technical reasons as to why direct debits can’t just be stopped and resumed, the full details of which will go out on our website later today.

“Obviously, if it turns out the games are not played, still a big ‘if’, then a decision as to whether season ticket refunds will be made would have to be taken by the football club.”
