Town linked with Scunthorpe striker
Ipswich Town have been linked with a deadline day move for Scunthorpe United striker Kevin van Veen.
Van Veen, 28, is currently in his second spell with Scunthorpe and has scored on 14 occasions so far this season. The Dutch forward is contracted until 2021 and is also rumoured to be attracting interest from League One rivals Sunderland and Blackpool.
The fact the van Veen is contracted until next summer and will require a fee to be prized away from the League Two club makes this deal virtually a non-starter.
Town boss Paul Lambert has already explained his not expecting much, if any, movement today, with perhaps young forward Armando Dobra leaving on loan the only expected transfer dealing.
