According to a report in the Press and Journal, we are interested in signing Dominic Ball after the player was released from Rotherham United following the end of his contract.

The 6ft-tall defender was a Miller for three years but made only 14 starts and one sub appearance for them. He was subsquently loaned out to Peterborough before joining Aberdeen, for whom he made 31 starts and nine sub appearances last season. The Dons are keen to keep the former Spurs youth product, offering terms to Ball, however, Ball has told McInnes his preference is a return to English football with Doncaster Rovers also reportedly keen on the free agent.

A move for a central defender is likely, skipper Luke Chambers and Toto Nsiala are currently the club’s only senior players in that position. Luke Woolfenden and Corrie Ndaba are both set to be involved heavily during Towns pre-seaon programme hoping to make a push for playing time this summer.
