Town dealt KVY blow

Kane Vincent-Young faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a groin injury.

The defender has just come back from surgery on his groin but has picked up a new injury in the same area, understood to have been picked up at Southend.

“Kane is going to be out for a while,” Town boss Paul Lambert told iFollow Ipswich.

“I have just found out from the medical team. He’s going to be out for a few months.

“It’s a blow but Janoi [Donacien] has done fantastic for us. That’s part and parcel of football. That’s why you need a squad.”

Town have been playing Janoi Donacien at right back in Vincent-Young’s absence with Giown Edwards also deputising for the former Colchester man.
