Town midfielder, Cole Skuse, is all set for Towns pre-season tour of Germany.

The Town staff and players fly out to Germany today ahead of the 10 day tour. A trip the Town midfielder has been telling iFollow Ipswich he is looking forward too: “We’re all looking forward to it and it should be a good trip,”

“We’re under the instructions that it will be 10 days where we’re very close and spending a lot of time with each other – that will be brilliant for the new lads that have come in.”

The tour will involve training, games and plenty of down time for the players to bond. Something that Skuse believes is key: “Some of the younger guys, that haven’t been on many pre-season trips, should enjoy it too. We’re there to bond and I think that’s important.

“It will be hard work but nice to travel around for our games and see some different places. I’ve also been told to prepare a few of my famous quizzes for the lads when we’ve got some downtime.”

Meanwhile, former Town striker Daryl Murphy has been transfer listed by Nottingham Forest. The 36 year old has been told he is not part of new manager Sabri Lamouchi’s plans and is free to join a new club.

Elsewhere, Murphy’s former Blues team-mate Damien Delaney, 37, has announced his retirement from the game having left Waterford.

The former defender played 106 times for Town over three seasons before moving to Crystal Palce on a free transfer in 2012.
