Reports: Northampton keeper linked again with Town

According to Football Insider, Town are continuing to monitor Northampton Town keeper David Cornell.

Town were mentioned in connection with Cornell back in December, with the former Swansea City youth product out of contract in the summer.

The 28-year-old has kept 11 clean sheets for Northampton so far this term, and his displays have brought him onto the radar of other clubs – all higher up the football pyramid than his current employers.

Championship duo Derby and Blackburn are also rumoured to be keeping tabs on Cornell as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping options.

Paul Lambert will be in the market for a new goalkeeper come the summer, with Will Norris only on-loan for the season and Bartosz Bialkowski completing a permanent move to Millwall.

Meanwhile, Town centre-half Corrie Ndaba is training with Ayr United with a view to joining Town frontman Aaron Drinan on loan at the Scottish Championship side.

Ndaba is yet to make his first team debut and appears to have fallen completely out of favour with Town boss Paul Lambert.
