Reports – Bid accepted for Vincent-Young

Ipswich Town have reportedly had a bid accepted for Colchester United full-back Kane Vincent-Young.

Town were linked with the full-back over the weekend with Lambert naturally playing down any interest when asked after the defeat at Luton on Tuesday night.

Vincent-Young, 23, was on trial with Town last season under the watchful eye of former boss Paul Hurst.

Hurst opted against signing the full-back on a free and Vincent-Young subsequently signed a new two-year deal with the U’s.

Vincent-Young was released by Tottenham in 2014, Vincent-Young joined Colchester’s academy shortly followed by breaking into the first team.

The full-back position is certainly an area Town boss Paul Lambert is keen to bolster. With Josh Emmanuel firmly out of the picture, Janoi Donacien has started both league games but Lambert still sees Donacien as a centre-half.
