Norwood out until April

Town will be without key striker James Norwood for much of the run-in as he is set to have surgery on an adductor problem and is expected to be out of action until April.

The striker will have the operation later today (Friday) having nursed the problem for a while.

Norwood, who has scored 11 goals so far this campaign, had groin surgery earlier in the season but the adductor injury is understood not related to that.

“It’s a blow for us and for James,” Lambert told the Club website.

“It has been niggling away at him for a while and it’s got to the point where he needs surgery.”

Without Norwood, the task to fire Town back to the Championship now rely heavily on the shoulders of Kayden Jackson, Will Keane and Freddie Sears.
