Former Town defender Tyrone Mings has signed for Aston Villa from AFC Bournemouth.

The Blues have already benefited this summer from a sell-on clause when Pompey defender Matt Clarke moved to Brighton in a deal which saw Town receive around £780,000.

According to reports, the fee Aston Villa are paying AFC Bournemouth for the former Town defender is £20m with some reports of around £26.5m. Town have a 10-per-cent-of-profit sell-on clause in the deal which saw Mings join the Cherries for £8 million in the summer of 2015.

If the figure is at the lower level – and no top-ups have been received in addition to the initial £8 million – Town would receive £1.2 million, while £1.85 million would be due if the fee is the higher sum.

Kieffer Moore is another player attracting interest with Bristol City and Millwall are reported to be set to bid £3 million for the Barnsley striker.

If any move materialises, with Town due 10% on any profit made when Moore moved to Barnsley for £750,000 in January 2018.

Town could also receive further financial boosts via sell-ons this summer with Adam Webster, currently with Bristol City, understood to be interesting Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Leicester City, Southampton, Burnley, Watford and Everton.
