Keane, Roberts and Rowe all set to leave the club this summer
Town will not be taking up the year option on Will Keane, Jordan Roberts and Danny Rowe and all three will be out of contract at the end of June but the door has been left open over possible deals in the future.
Keane joined the Club in the summer of 2019 having spent the second half of last season on loan from Hull. He has clocked up 41 appearances in a Town shirt, scoring nine goals.
To be honest, it’s not quite happened for the striker, after some promising displays and with the unavailability of James Norwood, Lambert has given Keane a run in the side with the former Manchester United man making little impact.
Rowe, has played 29 times for Blues since joining the Club in January 2017 and has had two loan spells at Lincoln during his time with Town.
After starting the season as a key player on the wing, the change of formation and his injuries has seen his season, and Town career, fizzle out.
Roberts, who signed from Crawley in 2018, made 17 appearances for the club and was a surprise starter when Paul Lambert first took the Town job.
The 26-year-old striker has just returned from Gillingham where he was on loan from January.
“With so much uncertainty over the game and the financial situation, it’s not feasible for the Club to take up the options on the players at the moment,” Town’s general manager football operations, Lee O’Neill, told the Club website.
“The door is certainly not closed though and it’s a situation that we will look at again when the football world becomes a bit clearer.”
However, Town have taken up the option on former Peterborough man Gwion Edwards.
The 27-year-old was in the last year of his contract having joining the Club from Peterborough in 2018 but Blues have activated the 12 month extension.
The winger has had to operate in a more defensive role this season covering for the injured Kane Vincent-Young, making 69 appearances and scoring on eight occasions in his spell with the club so far.
