Judge called up to Ireland squad
Alan Judge has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for European Championship qualifiers against Georgia and Switzerland this month.
The Boys in Green face Georgia away from home on Saturday, 12 October before taking on Switzerland, also away from home, three days later.
Ireland currently occupy top spot of qualifying group D having won three and drawn two of their opening five games.
Judge will be looking to add to his tally of eight caps for his country, in which he has scored once.
The Blues midfielder is the third first-team player to be called up to his national side after Anthony Georgiou was named in Cyprus’ squad for Euro qualifiers and Armando Dobra was given the nod for Albania U19s.
Town’s international call-ups mean that the clash with Wycombe Wanderers, scheduled for Saturday, 12 October at Portman Road, is likely to be postponed.
