Jackson set to sign new deal

Some good news for Town fans today, according to EADT, striker Kayden Jackson is set to sign a new deal with the club.

Jackson, who’s currently deal is set to expire next summer, has developed into a central figure for Town this season. The former Accrington man has been directly involved in 15 goals for Town this term, scoring nine and assisting on six occasions.

Jackson arrived in the summer of 2018 from Accrington Stanley for a reported fee of £1.6m, but struggled in his debut season for Town, only netting on four occasions.

Despite Lambert insisting that any new deals will have to go on the back burner until Town know what division they will be in next season, Jackson is certainly a player we want to tie down to a long-term deal.
