Harrison at Pompey to complete move
Town forward Ellis Harrison looks to be joining fellow promotion rivals Portsmouth.
Many sources connected to the club have confirmed that the deal is set to be completed soon and it has been reported that he is at the club today.
The Welshman netted one goal and assisted once in 16 appearances for Town.
Harrison was one of Paul Hurst’s permanent signings at the start of the previous campaign but a change in manager, his injury problems and constantly rotating team selections have made opportunities hard for the 25 year old. Pompey previously tried to sign him on loan in the January transfer window last season.
Many fans seemed baffled by the decision due to the fact Portsmouth are a promotion rival and that he has been previously successful at League One level. His departure may be down to Lambert simply believing Jackson is ahead of Harrison in the pecking order with one, if not both, always likely to move on this summer.
With Bart leaving, it looks to be an interested couple of days for Ipswich.
