Harris: The deal is off

According to London News Online, the deal to take Bartosz Bialkowski to Millwall is off after a complication in the keepers medical.

Speaking at this mornings press conference, Lambert had admitted Bart had a ‘huge chance’ of being in goal for the season opener.

A fee was agreed between the two clubs however the Championship side have appeared to have pulled out of the deal.

Harris, speaking on the deal: “We agreed a substantial fee with Ipswich for Bart,

“Bart was in my office – paperwork was signed and agreed, terms were agreed with the player. He is fantastic character, a real nice lad.

“Everything was okay with Ipswich and there was a complication with the medical, which has led to complications with the deal. As we stand at the moment, the deal is off.”

It is understood the complication came either the medical showing a minor issue with an old knee injury, then tried to renegotiate the deal.
