Crane: Can’t wait to get started

Town’s newest signing Ross Crane is understandably delighted to have signed for his boyhood club.

The signing of the 17-year-old winger was announced on Friday afternoon, with the former AFC Sudbury player signing a two-year-deal from Bury Town.

“I’m really pleased, well, I’m delighted and I can’t wait to get started,” Crane to the club website.

“It’s a big moment for a young lad to sign his first professional contract so do that here is brilliant.

“I’ve only been at Bury Town for a season but I’ve enjoyed myself a lot and I’d like to say a big thank you to them.

“We obviously don’t know when football will return, but when it’s safe to do so I’m looking forward to being involved. Hopefully I can push on with the U23s squad but the main thing is that I get used to the playing style at the Club.”

Meanwhile, the club shop have announced that they are now selling club-branded face masks.

The masks, which is available to pre-order, will cost just £10 with a percentage of all profits will be donated directly to the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, Colchester & Ipswich Hospital’s Charity.

For any fans wishing to pre-order either one of the masks can do so by clicking here.
