Bialkowski and Harrison set to complete moves
Town duo, Bartosz Bialkowski and Ellis Harrison are both closing in on moves away from Ipswich Town.
Bialkowski, as reported yesterday, was at Millwall yesterday completing his medical ahead of his move to The Den, after the two clubs agreed a fee for the Polish international.
The deal has an air of inevitability about it, with both parties happy to move on. Bialkowski is naturally wanting to play at the highest level possible and the idea of potentially not uprooting his settled family sees Millwall as the perfect destination. Bialkowski is one of the Blues’ highest earners despite taking a wage cut in the wake of relegation.
The Blues will almost certainly be in the market for a replacement, with Tomas Holy our only senior keeper. Last month TOTT announced that Town were keeping tabs on Bolton keeper Remi Matthews, he is also understood to be interesting manager-less Hull City.
Harrison was seen at Pompey’s training ground yesterday, completing his move to Portsmouth.
Harrison was one of Paul Hurst’s permanent signings at the start of the previous campaign but a change in manager, his injury problems and constantly rotating team selections have made opportunities hard for the 25 year old. The Welshman netted one goal and assisted once in 16 appearances for Town.
Pompey have been long term admirers of Harrison, previously trying to sign the forward on loan in the January transfer window and last season before he made the move to Town.
